  • 25th June 2001 SLOVENSKE KONJICE - ZICE
departure from the Festival hall at 8.00, passing by the airposti Ljubljana to Kamnim and furhter to Tuhinj valley all the way to Vransko. Arrival to Slovenske Konjice - sightseeing tour around the small town and visit of the castle Trebnik with herb's farmacy. tasting of some herb liquores and teas, small snack. departure to monastery Zice, which is about 15 minutes driving away. Visit of the monastery, departure back to Konjice and to the restaurant Gric, where there wines will be represented and a delicious meal will be served. After the lunch departure back to Bled.

  • 26th June 2001 POSTOJNA CAVE - LJUBLJANA
Departure at 8.30 from the Festival hall. The way will lead us to the capital of Slovenia, the city of Ljubljana. You will walk through the historical centre famous for its baroque churches and fin-de-siecle palacesAfter the visit we will continue the way on the road to the world famous Postojna Caves - more than 8 million people visited this magical underworld of stalactites and stalagmites. Before the visit of the cave, the lunch will be waiting for us. Our last point of interest will be Predjama castle, famous because of its owner, thief Erazem. After the visit departure back to Bled.

  • 27th June 2001 BOHINJ - SLAP SAVICA
Departure at 14.00 form the Festival hall, to the heart of the Julian Alps, where lies the beautiful valley of the peaceful lake Bohinj. The drive will take you through the typical Alpine villages of the "Upper Valley" down to the gothic St. John the Baptist church at the end of the lake. The journey continues along its shore to the waterfall Savica, that can be reached by foot in about twenty minutes. A little snack will follow. return to Bled throguh the "Lower Valley".

  • 28th June 2001 SKOCJAN CAVES - LIPICA
Departure at 8.00 from the Festival hall, in the direction of Skocjan Caves, a point of interest, protected also by World heritage UNESCO. After the visit drive to Lipica, stud farm, famous for its white Lipizzaner horses and "Spannish riding school". Lunch, with typicall Karst specialties. After the meal, visit of the stud farm and departure back to Bled.

Departure at 14.00 from the Festval hall and a scenic drive through the "Upper Sava Valley" to the valley Vrata. According to the mountainers is this the most beautiful valley in the Julian Alps. Walk to the waterfall Pericnik. At the way back we will make a stop in a little village, Dovje, visiting a house - museum, rebulit in the old style. Some national drinks and some "old cough medicine" will be served. Departure back to Bled.
